10. February 1, 2008 at St. Louis - Jean-Sebastien Giguere establishes a new club mark for career shutouts in a 1-0 shootout loss at St. Louis. Giguere would stop all shots faced in 65 minutes for his 28th shutout; he was finally beat by former Duck Andy McDonald, who was in game against the Ducks since being traded.
9. January 27, 2008 at Atlanta - At the 56th NHL All-Star Game in Atlanta, the Ducks have plenty of representation with a league-high and franchise-record four players on the Western Conference team. The four players to attend were: Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry, Chris Pronger, and Scott Niedermayer. The four Ducks combined for two goals and three points with a plus-six rating in the game.
8. April 18, 2008 vs. Dallas – Although the Ducks would wind up losing the series and make an early exit in the playoffs, the Ducks would put together their most complete performance against the Stars for a 5-2 victory.
7. March 26, 2008 vs. Los Angeles - In a brilliant performance by Jonas Hiller, the Ducks would beat the rival Kings 2-1 in a shootout, giving the Ducks their third straight playoff berth (a record). Along with the win, the Ducks win the inaugural Freeway Face-Off series and capture their 10th straight home victory. (A record and best in the 2007-2008 season). With this game Hiller proved his capabilities as a pro goaltender.
6. In the first regular season games ever played in Europe, the Ducks open the 2007-08 season with back-to-back games against rival Los Angeles in London, England as part of NHL Premiere. After losing the opening game 4-1, the Ducks beat the Kings 4-1 the following night. Corey Perry records two goals and Jonas Hiller got his first career win.
5. February 17, 2008 vs. Calgary – With a win over the Flames, Teemu Selanne and Jean-Sebastien Giguere put themselves atop career lists in Anaheim’s record books. On a Ryan Carter goal, Selanne earned his 670th point in his Ducks career, passing Paul Kariya (669) for a new club record. Giguere made 23 saves on 25 shots from the Flames for his 174th career game with the Ducks to Guy Hebert (173) for the second club record for the night.Selanne and Giguere Stand Alone
4. February 6, 2008 at Washington, DC – The Ducks make a stop to visit the nation’s capital and the President to commemorate their 2007 Stanley Cup championship. After playing tourist, the Ducks were honored in the East Room by President Bush for their accomplishments. After a brief speech the Ducks gave the President a Ducks jersey with the number 07 and Bush printed on the reverse.Ducks Get Presidential Treatment
3. February 5, 2008 at New York Islanders - Teemu Selanne eight days previously announced his return to the team (Selanne announcing his comeback) and on the fifth rejoined his fellow Ducks to take on the Islanders from Long Island. Selanne adds to the Ducks immediately with an assist on the Ducks’ first goal eight seconds into the second period. Selanne helped the lead the Ducks in a 3-0, snapping a season high 6 game losing streak. With Selanne back the Ducks would win five straight and 20 of the next 26.It's Teemu Time Once Again
2. December 16, 2007 vs. San Jose – After his return announcement 11 days earlier Scott Niedermayer returns from his temporary retirement. The Ducks would lose to San Jose in a shootout in the first game back but his return would add new life to the Ducks. After 34 games without their leader, the Ducks would post a 32-12-4 record after his return. The record is an NHL best over that span.Scotty Makes His Return
1. October 10, 2007 vs. Boston – In the Ducks home opener for 2008 at the Honda Center the Ducks lifted their 2007 Pacific Division, Western Conference, and Stanley Cup Champion banners. The celebration marks the Ducks first Stanley Cup victory. The capacity 17,285 person crowd left the building as happy as they entered as the Ducks would go on to beat the Bruins 2-1.Ducks Raise Banners to Home Rafters
